Next, Alex got his 4-month vaccinations at his check-up. (He's now 14 lbs. 7 oz. and 25.5 inches long.) He broke out in hives, which completely freaked me out. He spent the next 4 days lethargic, feverish, and cranky. Miserable for all of us, especially as he started waking up again in the middle of the night during that time.
And to top it all off, Doogie was diagnosed with cancer. On top of his kidney disease. I cried for hours after I got off the phone with the vet.
Sometimes life really does give us lemons.
But Alex is better now. Doogie stills runs around and gets into slap fights with Ninja. He's really not aware that he's sick, so we're hopeful that we'll have a decent amount of time left with him.
And through it all, God is faithful. If nothing else, we prayed more last week than usual, and that's never a bad thing.
Alex's Uncle Keith loved Batman. We expect Alex will, too. |

I'm so sorry.

I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family.
So very sorry for the loss of your brother in law. So sad when a loved one dies suddenly.
Hope your little guy stays well. Those shots can be hard on a little fellow.
As for the cat, I am sorry to hear that too. We love our pets very much and knowing they are ill is very hard too. I hope you have a lot of time left with your cat.
I'm so sorry Anne Marie. Praying for you and your family.
Your family is in my prayers.
