If I'm challenging myself, I might as well show you the fruits of my labor! This is my latest creation:
I struggled a bit with this one. I had it all put together, but it looked a bit bland, like it was missing something. My husband agreed, and he suggested I add some vines or stems or something. I can't draw worth a flip, so I was hesitant to do anything, and I don't have any stamps that would work in that way.
Then I remembered that I have a leaf punch from my gluttonous trip to Walmart a few weeks ago. Again, Steven was the one who suggested I use those leaves as stems, rather than as leaves just sticking out randomly, as I was trying to do. (I am so not an artist!) That made all the difference!
But it still looked bland. That's when I switched out the ribbon. I started with a sheer cream-colored ribbon with gold edging, but there's just too much bland cream. I think the green ribbon helps things stand out a bit more.

Thank you, everyone!
This is a lovely card ~ I do believe your trip to Walmart paid off! Married to the Empire, eh?! Last Halloween I escorted Darth Vader and General Grievous as they pillaged the local villagers of their candy. The villagers were surprisingly cooperative and handed over the candy docilely.
