Pink plate in the kitchen with a depiction of Aesop's fable "The Fox and the Lion." Pink + literature + decor = winning combination! I still need to get a plate stand for it:

I like you theme, especially because it is so subtle with little touches of pink sprinkled throughout. Instead of, say, pinking the entire house.
I have a similar plate, but I use it for eating when company comes. Is that supposed to be decoration? Am I committing some decorating fauxpas by eating from that?
Anne, they're meant for eating off of. I'm just using mine for decor. I'd love to get more for meals, but I already have 3 sets of dishes, so I really can't justify it. So, I just bought one for display because I like it.
Love the Spode plate! I have their "Zoological" collection - the camel, the kangaroos, and the zebra are hanging on the wall, and I eat off the tiger, the rhino and the ostrich. I'm a sucker for dishes.
