Crafting Accountability

I am terrible about buying craft supplies, then never using them.  I'm the sort of person who has all sorts of lofty ideas for projects, but then I rarely get around to actually doing them.  I mean, just look at how many books and magazines I have for ideas:

That's just some of my books/magazines!  I have two five-foot shelves filled with nothing but back issues of Martha Stewart Living.  It's a sickness. 

So, I've decided that for some accountability, I'll mention that I intend to use my stuff and actually make things before the year is over.  Just a few of the things I've bought and have either not used or barely used:

Okay, so most of the punches in the last photo were actually given to me by a very sweet friend, and I do use them... but not enough.  I didn't even show you the drawers full of pretty papers that need to be used.  I could probably never buy paper again, and still have enough to make thousands of cards or whatever else. 

I think what holds me back is a fear of failure.  I'm the sort of perfectionist who would rather not try than potentially fail at something or not have it turn out just right.  I need to get over that.  So now you know.  And because I've now made my intentions public (even if my blog is barely read anymore), I'll have to be accountable to actually making things.
