Easter

Traditionally, we have Easter dinner with our friends, but with my sister's family visiting this year, we had dinner with the family at my parents' house. Ashley, who is only 5, got creative with her dinner. She laid a piece of ham on top of her roll and said her ham was Jesus. The top of the roll was the stone, and she showed it rolling away. Pretty darned cute, although I found it amusing that Jewish (and presumably kosher) Jesus was made of ham.

A moment later a tiny voice said, "Aunt Anne Marie! I ate Jesus!" It's hard to laugh with a mouth full of food!

At least we know she pays attention at church.

Looks like you had a lovely Easter. Your nieces are so cute! It's great that you get to spend time with them. Does the little one still have a British accent?

They all have British accents now, to some degree. But yes, the youngest one's is still quite pronounced.

Kids are precious. You simply never know what will come out of their mouths.

A few years ago a boy at church had watched something on the History channel about cannibalistic tribes. He came to church and told everyone in his Sunday school class that we, as Christians, are cannibals because we "eat" Jesus' body during communion. Poor fellow didn't know whether to be upset or not. I laughed so hard that I cried.

Sometimes the world just looks different through their eyes!
