I know a few of you read here. Do any of you receive Oklahoma Baptist University's magazines in the mail? For some odd reason, these keep showing up in my mailbox:
As long as they don't start calling me to beg for money, I guess it's okay. But I find it very odd!

Nope. I don't get them. That is odd.
How strange! I just love those calls when they make you feel all special and then hit you with the donation conversation.
Well, I guess I'm the special one. Bizarre, isn't it? I've never had anything to do with OBU whatsoever, so I can't fathom why I'm on their mailing list for what is obviously an alumni publication.
Those calls from Baylor are something, aren't they? Those poor freshmen on work-study are trained well in how to chit-chat with the alumni before hitting them with the donation speech. I've started ignoring the calls when I see Baylor on the caller ID.
Hey. I'm the editor of OBU Magazine. Thanks for the pub on your blog. I don't know why you got added to our mailing list. I'll ask that our database folks make sure you aren't listed for phonathon calls! Oddly enough, I'm a Baylor grad (Class of '82), and the editor/director of Baylor Magazine (not the Line) is an OBU grad!
I guess I can be thankful I don't get the fundraising calls! Maybe because I'm not a member of the Alumni Association?
Becky, I haven't been a member in probably a decade. I think if they have any info about your whereabouts, they'll call you. You must be living covertly. ;-)
