The stormtroopers were invited by WFAA Channel 8 in Dallas to come to their downtown studio and film some promos that will be shown here in Dallas on December 18, 2007 at 9pm. Something about the future of television with shots of the Empire taking over the studio. The guys had a blast doing this. I took a TON of pictures, but I'll just show you a few highlights.
Princess Leia manning the news desk, with 2 Imperial Officers standing menacingly over her:
Stormtroopers taking over the cameras:
Imperial Officers having a laugh over the Imperial takeover:
Jango Fett doing the weather:

All the pictures are so cool!! Was Ruf the Imperial officer?
Yes, he was the Imperial Officer in greenish-gray. (The other one is wearing black.)
Oh man! I love the pictures of the "take-over" and the parade.
What fun!
That is sooooo cool!!!! LOVE IT!! You know, I really like those red Imperial Guard costumes. I think it's the bright cheery red. I loved Jango Fett doing the weather, how fun is that!!
Hey, thanks for getting back to me on the info for joining the 501st! I never did get back to you, things have gotten so busy since we've been getting ready to move.
For now, my husband joining the 501st will just have to remain a dream, because there is NO WAY we could afford it!! Wow, the cost of costuming is so expensive. It really really makes me appreciate those costumes, and the time they put into them too.
Ann, you're welcome! The costumes are so expensive mostly because of all the mods the guys make to them. But a basic stormtrooper will run you around $1000 once you throw in the boots, undersuit, neck seal, etc. to the kit.
Steven's officer uniform was only as much as it was because we hired a seamstress, and she had to do a lot of modifications, adding to her hours worked. But she did a fantastic job, so it was worth it. Oh, and the boots weren't cheap.
It's a crazy hobby, but they have fun with it, and they do a lot of charity work, so it's worth it. But if we had kids, I doubt we'd be able to spend the money for him to do all this stuff.
