Tonight as I was playing around with the fantastic Star Wars stamps that Beth sent to me, I decided to make a little something for Steven. It's all on PostIt notes to be placed on the bathroom mirror where he can see it. We have a little ribbing that goes on here. He's all about the Empire (bad guys), and I love the Rebels (good guys).
Maybe this will make him think about his life choices. Maybe he'll decide that I was right all along and the Rebels are the better choice. Maybe he'll be redeemed, and I can change my blog to Married to the Rebellion.
And maybe I'm just dreaming.

As soon as I saw that Chewbacca head stamp I knew I had to send it to you. :)
But...but...if he joined the rebellion, he couldn't be in the 501st which is really really cool. He'd have to dress up as a jedi or a rebel x-wing pilot or something...the bad guys have better costumes. It's all about the clothes. (Just Kidding!! Just trying to be funny!)

He laughed when he saw it (at 2:30am). Then he reminded me that he tried the Rebel thing once. He had an X-wing Pilot costume, and he said he looked like a skinny dork. Unfortunately, his assessment of how he looked as a Rebel is true. So, he'll stick with the Empire because it looks cooler. It's all about image, you know! *snicker*
Beth, I love the Chewbacca stamps! Oh, and I showed all the stamps to Steven last night. He's thinking about using some when he signs stormtrooper autographs or as hand stamps when meeting kids. I had no idea he'd be just as excited over these things!
I'm so glad you both like the stamps and will get a lot of use out of them. My boys enjoyed seeing "their" stamps on your blog. :)
ooh, and did you like the postcard, too? I wanted to include a note and then I remembered I had a few of those hanging around...
The postcard was great! I found myself checking the date because I thought maybe there was yet another exhibit traveling right now. Alas, it was from 3 years ago.
I'm glad your kiddos enjoyed seeing their stamps here. I feel like I've taken their legacy from them or something!
I found your blog through my sister-in-law. I have to say I love it. I love the Star Wars thing. It sounds a lot like my husband and all, except I am the one more oriented to the dark side. My favorite shirt is one that has the Empire logo on the front and "Ruling the Galaxy with Supreme Authority."
