Welcome Home

I've heard people say that dogs are so much better than cats because dogs will greet you at the door when you get home. Let me just say that cats are just as eager to welcome home their families. This is the scene we see every time we arrive home:

Calvin is always at the door peering out, just waiting. Then he talks and talks the moment the door is opened. Doogie prefers to hang back a bit to make sure it's really us coming in, but he's usually in the living room, too, just waiting.

Our cats like their people.

I love, love, love this picture! My cats always greet me when I come home, too. We just don't have windows in our door so we can't see them waiting. :-)

Our cats also do this. We have a side window, so we can always see their little shadows on the other side!

It's *really* cute when we come home at night and turn on the light in the entryway. Our cats try to look at us, but the light hurts their eyes! We tell them they are "squinty-eyed". So cute!

Aw, that's such a cute picture! At least they sit quietly and wait. I get knocked over.
